Our lads are poised to hit Oba, Anambra State for pre-season exertions ahead of the 2017/18 football season.
The RUFC contingent will use the ‘closed-camping’ pre-season exercise to fine tune preparations for the upcoming season.
Addressing players and members of the technical staff of RUFC, our General Manager, Chief Okey Kpalukwu stressed that seriousness, hard work and discipline must be the watchword for everyone involved in the pre-season exercise.
He added that following an underwhelming campaign last season, only the right approach in pre-seaso will set the tone to fetch positive rewards demanded by all supporters, fans and stakeholders of the football club in the upcoming season.
Chief Kpalukwu further noted that excellence will be demanded at all times from players, technical staff and members of the management as RUFC aspire to hit expected heights in the coming season.
Responding, our captain, Festus Austine thanked Chief Kpalukwu for his fatherly advice and promised, on behalf of the players, not to let RUFC down.
Our technical manager, Azunda Stanley Eguma, in his response, expressed gratitude to the club’s management led by Chief Kpalukwu while promising to work extra hard to make all involved with RUFC proud in the coming season.
The pre-exercise in Oba will last for a fortnight but could, according to management, be extended, if need be.
